Angler’s Image Tippet Rings – Nickel Small

Tippet rings are excellent for adding dropper flies.  At the end of a leader or tippet tie in a tippet ring using a clinch not. Add an additional length of tippet for your point fly- 15-20″. Add a shorter piece of tippet to the ring for attaching your dropper – ~6″.

Tippet Rings are also useful in extending the life of a tapered leader. Attach a tippet ring to the end of a new leader with a clinch knot.  Attach your tippet to the tippet ring with a clinch knot. When your tippet is used up, add more tippet by removing remainder of the old tippet from the ring.  Attaching a fresh piece. Now you never cut into your tapered leader to attach new lengths of tippet.
